Fyre-Can is a cast in place intumescent device utilized to firestop combustable pipe penetrations through concrete floor assemblies.  The pre-fabricated Fyre-Can is comprised of an outer metallic sleeve with a radial attached to one end of the sleeve.  Contained within the Fyre-Can are the necessary amount of TREMstop WS (intumescent wrap strip) and a "cold smoke seal" neoprene gasket.  Fyre-Can is available in sizes ranging from 1.5" to 12" (3.8cm to 30.5cm), where the size is related to a standard industry pipe diameter.  Fyre-Can is also available in three different heights [4", 6" and 8" (10.2cm 15.2cm 20.3cm)] to match the concrete floor thickness.  A tub box configuration is also available if required. The primary benefit of Fyre-Can is to provide a fully assembled device that enables contractors to incorporate the intumescent device during floor construction, without interrupting pipe assembly or work flow.  There is no necessary additions or the need to nibble the pipe, instead just run the combustible pipe through the Frye-Can upon completion.  Fyre-Can can also be installed by being inverted making it ideal for applications where installation of the intumescent device from the top would be preferred.
